Event description: 

The MicroBooNE detector is a Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber (LArTPC) located along the Booster Neutrino Beam (BNB) at Fermilab. One of its key physics goals is the measurement of neutrino-Argon interaction cross sections. Due to the detector’s fully active volume as well as its capability to offer a high-efficiency neutrino event selection, MicroBooNE is well suited produce the first ever triple-differential neutrino-Argon cross section. This measurement offers the potential for detailed new information capable of guiding the development of simulations used across future neutrino experiments. However, a triple-differential cross section requires an accurate model to describe the detector and reconstruction biases. Statistical tests demonstrating the MicroBooNE model’s validity, as well as unfolded preliminary double-differential cross section results, are presented.
In-person attendance will be capped at 20 people on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the current Yale policies.
