Join the Kimball Smith Series for a talk and Q&A on the book, “The Survival Nexus: Science, Technology, and World Affairs” by Charles Weiss.
Charles Weiss is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, the former and first Science and Technology Advisor to the World Bank (1971-86), a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Professor Weiss will lead us through a conversation centered on issues at the intersection of science & technology, policy, and international affairs. Attendees will have the opportunity to raise questions regarding a broad range of topics—including nuclear policy, climate disruption, globalization, social media and cyber security, and biotechnology. Yale community members of all disciplines and levels of expertise are encouraged to attend.
