Event description:

Join Milind Diwan from Brookhaven National Laboratory in this 2-part series to review the basic mathematics for understanding random noise. This topic is useful to many of us working with particle detectors but not often formally taught. Milind will introduce some of the techniques involved in understanding random noise in physical systems, the mathematical tools needed for analysis, and a few applications.

Part 1: Tuesday, September 19, 2017 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

WLC-108

Part 2: Friday, September 22, 2017 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
